Dear Habitat Affiliate Leaders:
As you know, the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) tax credit program has been moved from the Indiana Department of Commerce to the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (HCDA). Last year, 17 Habitat affiliates around the state received a total of $588,069 in NAP Credits. Awards ranged for a low of $6,000 to a high of $50,000, which is the maximum available per recipient.
The draft application for the 2006-07 Neighborhood Assistance Program in now available for comments and can be found on HCDA’s website at:
http://www.in.gov/ihfa/comdev/allo/apps/nap/nap.htm.
Comments may be made on line at the above web address. Please note, however, that the comment period ends on November 23rd.
I encourage you to look over the application information and submit any comments that you think are appropriate as soon as possible. I also strongly encourage each of you to consider applying for NAP Credits when the application period is announced early next year.
